Section 1
Woolwich to Falconwood
Beginning at the south end of the Woolwich Foot Tunnel the route follows the Thames to the west as far as The Thames Barrier. Turning south through Moore Park into Maryon Park and then the adjoining Maryon Wilson Park, it continues along green spaces crossing Charlton Park into Hornfair Park until it reaches Woolwich Common. Crossing Shooters Hill into Eltham Common and through Jack Wood and Oxleas Wood and Meadow finally reaching Eltham Park North. The route finishes at Falconwood Station, a distance of 6.2 miles, 10Km. We walked the section over two days, Sunday 13th October and Tuesday 15th October 2024
